Every day, we see a lot of hyperlinks and may click on many of them on websites and emails. They may come in different flavors:

  1. Click here to view my weekly report.
  2. Here is my weekly report: https://example.com/weekly-report-1.
  3. Here is my weekly report.

They all seem readable, right? However, for screen readers, the first link would make no sense at all because the link description is simply "here". The second link is probably fine in this case, but for a longer URL, it would make the entire paragraph cluttered. The ideal hyperlink is the third one, where screen readers could understand that this link refers to "my weekly report". Therefore, when creating a hyperlink, it is important to use words that properly describe the hyperlink content.
